Arrested and charged twice within 24 hours

On the 28th of October at 1:50pm, Belleville Police were called to a business on Bell Blvd regarding a shoplifting incident.  Police learned that staff were familiar with the suspect regarding previous similar incidents.  The suspect fled the store on his bicycle in an effort to evade staff employees who attempted to confront him.   Police obtained a detailed description of the suspect and after checking various locations, police located and arrested him at a location on North Front St.  Police were familiar with the male as he had been arrested and charged with the same offence at a different store less than 24 hours previously.  Malachi Warner, 20-years-old of no fixed address was charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation.  He was held for a bail hearing.
