Weapons
On 5 November, 2024, at 4:42pm, police were called to a west end address regarding a disturbance. Police were advised that several people were under the influence of drugs, and that a male was possibly armed with a firearm. Police attended the scene, and were able to locate the suspect. A 35-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with weapons dangerous, assault with a weapon, obstructing an officer, and possession of a controlled substance. He was held for a bail hearing on 6 November, 2024.
Domestic
On 5 November, 2024, at 9:42 pm, police were called to attend an address on Victoria Avenue regarding a male standing in the complainant’s back yard. Officers arrived at the address and spoke to the complainant who stated the male was her ex-partner, and he is currently on conditions not to attend her address or communicate with her as a result of previous domestic related charges. Police arrested the 50-year-old male suspect. He was charged with two counts breach of probation and held for a bail hearing on 6 November, 2024
