Arrest made in motor vehicle collision

The Belleville Police Service has made an arrest in an investigation regarding a vehicle striking a house. As reported on 22 November, 2024, police received a report of a vehicle that struck a residence on Marsh Drive. Upon arrival, the vehicle was still running, but the driver had fled the scene.

Belleville Police investigated the incident and identified 20-year-old Landon Galvin of Prince Edward County as the suspect. A warrant was issued for Galvin, and he surrendered himself to police on 16 December. Galvin was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, mischief over $5000, as well as charges under the Highway Traffic Act. Galvin will appear in court on 23 January, 2025.

Warrants

On 16 December, 2024, an officer was on general patrol in the east end of Belleville when they observed a 50-year-old female who was wanted on warrants.  Terri-Lynn LaFrance from Belleville, who was wanted for failing to comply with her release conditions stemming from an incident in April this year for possession of controlled substances.  LaFrance was transported to Belleville Police Service and then released on an undertaking with a court date on 30 January, 2025.
