Belleville Police Service Welcomes New Leadership
The Belleville Police Service is proud to announce the official appointment of Chief Murray Rodd and Deputy Chief Sheri Meeks, following a formal swearing-in ceremony held yesterday.
The ceremony, which took place at the Quinte Consolidated Courthouse, was attended by local officials, dignitaries, community members, and law enforcement personnel, marking a new chapter in the leadership of the Belleville Police Service.
Chief Murray Rodd, a distinguished leader with 35 years of service, brings a wealth of experience and a steadfast commitment to community policing and public safety. “I am deeply honored to serve the Belleville community and look forward to working with our dedicated officers to continue strengthening the relationship between our service and the people we protect,” said Chief Rodd during the ceremony.
Deputy Chief Sheri Meeks, who has been with the Belleville Police Service for 28 years, was promoted from the rank of Inspector. She shared her appreciation, stating, “I am grateful for this opportunity and excited to support our team as we continue to evolve and meet the needs of our community.”
Their combined leadership is expected to further enhance the Service’s dedication to professional, accountable, and community-focused policing.
