Arrested on Warrant

On the 31st of October at 11:33am, Belleville Police located a male in the area of Stanley Street and Dussek Street who was wanted on an outstanding warrant held by the Belleville Police Service for Adult Nudity / Indecent Exposure and Indecent Exposure to a Person Under 16 years of age.  Michael Hasilo, 49-years-old of Belleville was arrested on the strength of the warrant and transported to the Belleville Police Service. He was later released on an Undertaking with a court date in November. 

Project Renewal – Controlled Drug and Substances Act Search Warrant Executed

On the 31st of October, members of Project Renewal executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrant in Belleville’s west end.

Members of Belleville Police Emergency Response Unit and K9 units assisted in the seizure of cocaine and the arrest of 2 adult females and 2 adult males.

As a result of the search of the residence, officers located the following evidence:

  • 101.3 grams Cocaine
  • $1575 Canadian Currency
  • Digital Scales
  • Packaging material
  • 3 cell phones
 
 Gary Cunningham, 22 years old of Beeton Ontario, Patricia Asselstine, 65-years-old of Belleville, Shawna Rinder, 49-years-old of Belleville and Kevin Symons, 50-years-old of Belleville were all charged with:
  1. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  2. Proceeds of crime under $5000
  3.  

Further investigation revealed that Cunningham was also wanted on an arrest warrant held by the Hamilton Police Service.  The warrant was for:

  1. Aggravated Assault x 2
  2. Discharge Firearm with Intent x 2
  3. Reckless Discharge of a Firearm
  4. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  5. Possession of a Prohibited Firearm

 

Cunningham was held for a show cause hearing on the Belleville Police Service charges.  The Hamilton Police Service was notified of Cunningham’s arrest.   Asselstine, Rinder and Symons were all released on an Undertaking with a court date in December.
