Domestic assault
On 22 November, 2024, at 6:10 pm Belleville Police received a 911 call regarding a domestic dispute in the east end of the city. Officers received initial information from a female that her boyfriend had threatened her. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the female who advised that boyfriend had assaulted her. After speaking to both parties, a 35-year-old male from Toronto was arrested for domestic assault, assault with a weapon and two counts of breach of probation. The male was transported to Belleville Police Service and held for a bail hearing the following morning. Neither party required medical assistance as a result of the incident.
Robbery
On 24 November, 2024, at 8:00pm, Belleville Police received a call to a Millennium Parkway business regarding a robbery. Police were advised that a male had entered the store at approximately 6:30pm, and he made a purchase. The male then engaged the cashier in an argument demanding more change. The male then threatened the cashier demanding more money. The male left the store with an undisclosed amount of money. Mischief
On 25 November, 2024, at 2:13 a.m., police were conducting property checks in the area of Pinnacle Street and Bridge Street East when they came across a male who had started a fire. The male was uncooperative with police and an investigation ensued. As a result of the investigation, police arrested the 42-year-old Belleville man, of no fixed address, for mischief and uttering threats towards a security guard stemming from an altercation earlier in the evening where the same male had set a fire. The male was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he is being held for a bail hearing on 25 November, 2024.
