Dispute between roommates leads to charges

On the 21st of October at 11:40am, Belleville Police were called to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a dispute between two roommates.  Upon their arrival, police spoke to the involved parties and learned that one of the roommates had uttered threats to cause bodily harm to the other.  As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged 41-year-old Matthew McBeth of Belleville with uttering threats and breach of probation.  He was released on an Undertaking with a court date in November.

Two separate investigations results in multiple charges against Belleville woman

On the 21st of October at 12:18am, Belleville Police received a report that a female was sending threatening messages to another female.  Shortly after, police attended the residence of the suspect to follow-up.  Upon their arrival, police discovered that the same suspect was acting out of control and had intentionally pulled the fire alarm for the building knowing there was no fire.  Multiple tenants were forced to exit the building during the night.  Police also learned that earlier in the evening, the female was locking doors to the building denying other residents from entering the building.  Police continued their investigation.

Further on the 21st of October at 12:36pm, police were dispatched to a business on Front Street regarding a female that broke into the business and was causing damage inside.  Police attended and arrested the female.  Police quickly determined that it was the same female who they had dealt with earlier regarding the fire alarm.

As a result of both investigations, police arrested and charged a 20-year-old Belleville woman with break and enter, three counts of mischief under $5000, criminal harassment, mischief – obstructs, interrupts or interferes with any person in the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property and one count of falsely activating a fire alarm.  She was held in custody for a bail hearing.
