Arrest on Warrants
On the 20th of September, 2022, at 3:46 hrs, Belleville Police officers observed a vehicle that had been reported to have been taken without the owner’s consent driving on Dundas Street East Belleville, Ontario. The car was stopped, and a female driver was identified. A check of the female showed that she was wanted on several warrants for two counts of Possession of a drug, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, fail to comply with a release order, and four counts of failing to attend court. As a result, 27-year-old female Katie Skinkle of no fixed address was arrested and held for a show cause hearing on the 20th of September 2022.
Thefts of Sewer Grates
Belleville Police have responded to two calls over the last two days of unknown individuals stealing sewer grates from a city street and a local business. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Belleville Police at 613-966-0882.
