Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 76 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 19^th of September, 2022, to 5:00 am on the 20^th of September, 2022.

Arrest on Warrants

On the 20^th of September, 2022, at 3:46 hrs, Belleville Police officers observed a vehicle that had been reported to have been taken without the owner’s consent driving on Dundas Street East Belleville, Ontario. The car was stopped, and a female driver was identified. A check of the female showed that she was wanted on several warrants for two counts of Possession of a drug, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, fail to comply with a release order, and four counts of failing to attend court. As a result, 27-year-old female Katie Skinkle of no fixed address was arrested and held for a show cause hearing on the 20^th of September 2022.

Thefts of Sewer Grates

Belleville Police have responded to two calls over the last two days of unknown individuals stealing sewer grates from a city street and a local business. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Belleville Police at 613-966-0882.
