Total calls for service – Belleville Police Service responded to 65 calls for service in the 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 28th of February, 2023 to 5:00 am on the 1^st of March, 2023. 

Weapons call

On 28 February 2023, at 11:00 pm, Belleville Police received a call regarding a male waiving a firearm on Front Street. Police responded immediately, and they were directed to a male who was in the area. The male was taken into custody, and a pellet pistol was discovered after he was searched. As a result, a 41-year-old Belleville male was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was held for a bail hearing on 1 March 2023.
