Total calls for service – Belleville Police Service responded to 67 calls for service in the 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on the 1st of March, 2023 to 5:00 am on the 2nd of March, 2023. 

Domestic Mischief

On March 1st, 2023 at 3:37 pm, police received a call to an east end residence for a domestic dispute.   Police received information that a male and female were involved in a dispute where several items were being broken.  Officers arrived on scene and learned that the male party had damaged personal property of the female.  The 32 year-old-male from Belleville was arrested for domestic mischief and transported to Belleville Police Service. He was later released with a court date of 20 March, 2023.

Assistance requested

The Belleville Police Service is asking for assistance regarding several break in and mischief occurrences at the Quinte Secondary School property on College Street West. In January and February, police have received several calls, usually in the early morning hours, regarding break ins, attempted break ins, or broken windows. Anyone who may have video footage in the surrounding neighborhoods, or anyone who has information regarding the suspects in these incidents is asked to contact Cst Dodds at kdodds@bellevilleps.ca or 613-966-0882 ext:4193
