On Thursday, September 19^th, 2024, at 8:56am, Belleville Police were called to an east end residence regarding a male possibly trying to break into a residence.  Upon arrival, police located the suspect.  After identifying the suspect, the investigation determined the male had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.  When the officers attempted to arrest the male, he fled on foot.  After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was arrested.  The 35-year-old Belleville man was charged with one count of Theft Under $5000 and Resisting Arrest.  The accused was held for a Show Causing Hearing and will appear in court today, September 20^th, 2024.
