40-year-old wanted man located

A man wanted on several warrants from Belleville police was arrested late Thursday in the area.

Around 11:30 p.m. Belleville police were contacted by the Prince Edward detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police. Officers in the county had an interaction with a 40-year-old man, which led to his arrest on warrants from Belleville police.

Christopher Bronson, 40 was arrested for warrants including breaching probation, failing to remain with surety, mischief and operation of a vehicle while prohibited.

Bronson was held for a bail hearing Friday in Belleville on the charges.

Power tools stolen

Belleville police are looking to the public for information following the theft of power tools from a vehicle parked at a north end business, Thursday.

Shortly before 5 p.m. officers were dispatched to a Highway 62 business. Upon arrival, police were met by the owner of the vehicle, who had parked his vehicle at the site for several days while he worked out of the city.

Culprits smashed his windows to gain access and removed a number of power tools, including a cordless drill and generator.
