Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 92 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on April 11, 2023 to 5:00 am on April 12, 2023.

 

Break & Enter

On April 12, 2023 at 3:18 a.m., Police responded to a Break and Enter to an electrical supply business on Cannifton Rd.  Investigation revealed a white 2 door Chevrolet pickup truck with an 8-foot box and black Toyota Tundra with very a distinguishable box, backed up to the door and broke the doors with a chain to make entry. Four unknown suspects entered the store and stole approximately $10,000 - $15,000 worth of Milwaukee tools.

Missing Person

The Belleville Police Service is looking for the publics assistance in locating 59-year-old Keith Sikala. Sikala was last seen on April 5th, 2023, on South Front Street in Belleville, ON.

Keith is described as 5’9, approximately 170 pounds, blue eyes, light coloured hair and facial hair. Keith was last seen wearing a red in colour Canada hat, black jacket with a grey stripe along the chest, red sweatshirt, blue jeans, and grey running shoes.

It is believed that Keith is in the Belleville or Trenton area. Anyone with information regarding Keith’s whereabouts is requested to contact Detective Constable Stephanie Bested of the Criminal Investigations Division at 613-966-0882 ext. 4170 or by e-mail at sbested@bellevilleps.ca

 

 

Swearing-In Ceremony – New Recruits

On April 11, 2023 at 4pm, the Belleville Police Service was proud to swear in their five newest Constables.  The Honorable Justice Stephen Hunter presided over the Swearing-In Ceremony of the new recruits.  The ceremony was held at the Quinte Consolidated Courthouse and was attended by family, friends and members of the Belleville Police Service.  Each officer will continue their training for the next several months while paired up with their Coach Officer.  The newest Constables are Braeden Rogers, Makenna Clayton, Sara Fleet, Andi Boka and Joseph Irvine.
