Domestic Mischief
On March 22, 2023 at 5:45pm Belleville Police attended an address in the central region of the city regarding an unwanted person. Upon arrival on scene, officers learned that the caller’s ex-partner had shown up at the residence unwanted and had caused damage to the door while forcing her way inside. As result of the investigation, a 51-year old female was charged with domestic mischief

Grandparent Scam – Arrest
A 20-year-old Quebec man and a 22-year-old Toronto man are facing a long list of charges after Belleville police officers caught suspects orchestrating the ‘Grandparent’s Scam’ in the city last week.
On March 16, 2023, Officers were dispatched to a home in the city’s west end after an elderly resident advised she had been contacted by someone claiming to be a bail officer.

Stunt Driving
On 20 March 2023 at 6:34 am police were conducting traffic enforcement on Wallbridge Loyalist Rd. Police observed a vehicle at a high rate of speed and clocked it at 132 Km/hr in a 60 Km/hr zone. A 23 yr old Belleville male was charged with stunt driving. The vehicle was towed and his drivers licence was suspended. He was given a court date in May.

Breach of Release Order
A 45 yr old Belleville male has a third bail hearing in five days Thursday morning after repeatedly breaching his conditions this week.
On the 10th of March, the male was arrested for assault and uttering threats. He was released on bail on the 13th of March with conditions not to return to the scene of the assault. Within hours of his release, he returned to the scene and was arrested.
