Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 239 calls for service between 5:00 am on October 13, 2023 to 5:00 am on October 16, 2023.

 

Mischief to Vehicle

Belleville Police are seeking information regarding a mischief to a motor vehicle which was parked behind the stores on Front Street overnight between 1am to 4am on the 14th of October 2023.  Unknown persons smashed out the rear window.  Anyone with information is requested to contact Constable Hadley at ehadley@bellevilleps.ca or contact Quinte Crime Stoppers.

 

Break and Enter

On the 15th of October 2023, police received a report of a break and enter to a business on Front Street which occurred sometime overnight.  It appears the suspects made entry into the business through the basement of the business.  The incident remains under investigation.  Anyone with information regarding this break and enter is requested to contact Constable Aris at daris@bellevilleps.ca or contact Quinte Crime Stoppers.

 

Impaired Driving

On the 14th of October 2023 at 4:35 am, Belleville Police received a report of a female who was unconscious at the wheel of a motor vehicle at the intersection of Victoria Ave and Herchimer Ave.  Paramedics also attended in case it was determined to be a medical emergency.  Upon arrival by police, it was determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol.  As a result of the investigation, Ashley Juby, 38-years-old of Madoc was arrested and charged with impaired driving and over 80.  She was released on an Undertaking with a November court date.

 

Theft

On the 14th of October 2023, a business on North Front Street reported to police that on the previous day a male suspect had entered the store and stole over $1,300 worth of merchandise.  Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in the attached photo.  Anyone with information regarding the suspect or the theft is requested to contact Constable Stein at cstein@bellevilleps.ca or contact Quinte Crime Stoppers.
