Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 78 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on October 18, 2023 to 5:00 am on October 19, 2023.

 

Mischief and Fail to Comply with Probation Order

On the 19th of October 2023 at 3:08am, the Belleville Police Service responded to a report of vehicles being damaged at a downtown business.  The suspect was smashing out vehicle windows.  The complainant began to pursue the suspect on foot and a short time later, police arrived and assisted in the search for the suspect.  He was located a short distance away hiding in a bush.  David Cooley-Rushlow, 32-years-old of no fixed address was arrested and charged with two counts of Mischief under $5,000 and one count of fail to comply with a probation order.  He was released on an Undertaking with a court date in November 2023.

 

Stolen Vehicle

On the 18th of October 2023 between 6:00pm and 7:30pm unknown persons stole a black 2008 Chevrolet cargo style van from a driveway in the city’s west end. The van’s licence plate is BL48764 and the van has “Linton Renovations” on the side in large red lettering. 

Police are requesting anyone with information regarding this theft or knows the whereabouts of the stolen vehicle to contact the Belleville Police Service.
