Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 219 calls for service between 5:00 am on October 20, 2023 to 5:00 am on October 23, 2023.

 

Impaired Driving and Possession of Drugs

On the 20th of October 2023 at 6:40pm, Belleville Police were called to the area of Front Street and Campbell Street regarding a vehicle that had obvious damage and was parked the wrong way on a one-way street.  Callers reported a lone female driver was observed passing in and out of consciousness while the vehicle was in park with her foot on the gas.  Police and Paramedics attended.  Following an investigation, it was determined that the female was under the influence of street drugs.  She was arrested after being cleared medically.  The female was also found to be in possession of cocaine and fentanyl.  Ashley Rappel, 36-years-old of Stirling, was charged with impaired operation by drug, possession of Cocaine and possession of Fentanyl.  She was released on an Undertaking with a November court date.

 

Motor Vehicle Collision

On the 20th of October 2023 at 5:15pm, Belleville Police were called to the intersection of Wallbridge-Loyalist Road and Moira Street West regarding a motor vehicle collision.  Officers arrived on scene and noted that one of the drivers had suffered minor injuries however declined medical attention.  Neither of the vehicles were drivable following the collision.  As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old male from Trenton was issued a Provincial Offence Notice charged with disobeying a stop sign.   

 

Motor Vehicle Collision

On the 20th of October 2023 at 12:44pm, Belleville Police were called to the intersection of North Front Street and Valleyview Crescent regarding a motor vehicle collision.  No injuries were reported but both vehicles were not drivable.  As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old male driver was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for failing to yield from a private driveway. 

 

Public Intoxication

On the 22nd of October 2023 at 3:00am, Police responded to the area of Palmer Road and Bridge Street West regarding a disturbance. Police spoke to the involved parties which led to the arrest of a 30-year-old Belleville man for being Intoxicated in a public place. The male was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was held until sober.  He was issued a Provincial Offences Notice under the Liquor Licence and Control Act for being Intoxicated in a Public Place.

 

Possession of Stolen Vehicle

On the 22nd of October 2023 at 3:00pm, Belleville Police observed a vehicle in the west end of the city that was reported stolen by Peel Regional Police.  After stopping the stolen vehicle, three males were arrested for possession of stolen property.  As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old male from London, a 25-year-old male from Amherstview and a 24-year old male from Belleville were all charged with possession of stolen property.  The Belleville man was also charged with possession of Cocaine.  All three males were held for a bail hearing.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On the 22nd of October 2023 at 5:02pm, Belleville Police attended an address in the city’s east end regarding an intimate partner dispute.  Upon arrival, police discovered one of the involved parties was on a release order with conditions not to communicate or be in the company of the other person present.  As a result, a 27-year-old male from Belleville was arrested for failing to comply with a release order.  He was held for a bail hearing.
