Impaired Driver – Fail to remain
On the 31st of October 2023 at 9:38pm, police received a call regarding a motor vehicle which had lost control and struck a Stop Sign knocking it over at the corner of Earl and Coleman Street. The vehicle then departed the scene. Police located the vehicle and driver a short distance away. Following the conclusion of an investigation, police charged Mohit, a 23-year-old male from Belleville with operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration over 80 and fail to remain at the scene of an accident. He was released on an Undertaking with a court date in November 2023.
Project Renewal – Search Warrant and Arrests
On the 31st of October 2023, as a result of a drug trafficking investigation in the city of Belleville, members of Project Renewal with the assistance of the Belleville Police Emergency Response Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the city’s east end. Three people were arrested and charged as a result of the investigation. The following items were located and seized during the investigation:
- 82.9 grams of Cocaine
- 33.7 grams of Fentanyl
- 3 grams of MDMA
- 4 sets of working Digital Scales
- .40 caliber Glock handgun with laser sight. Serial #BRZC805
- $6855 Cash

- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine - Sec 5(2) CDSA
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – MDMA – Sec 5(2) CDSA
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl – Sec 5(2) CDSA
- Proceeds of crime over $5000 - Sec. 354(1)(b) CC
