Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 93 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on October 31, 2023 to 5:00 am on November 1, 2023.

 

Impaired Driver – Fail to remain

On the 31st of October 2023 at 9:38pm, police received a call regarding a motor vehicle which had lost control and struck a Stop Sign knocking it over at the corner of Earl and Coleman Street.  The vehicle then departed the scene.  Police located the vehicle and driver a short distance away.   Following the conclusion of an investigation, police charged Mohit, a 23-year-old male from Belleville with operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration over 80 and fail to remain at the scene of an accident.  He was released on an Undertaking with a court date in November 2023. 

 

Project Renewal – Search Warrant and Arrests

On the 31st of October 2023, as a result of a drug trafficking investigation in the city of Belleville, members of Project Renewal with the assistance of the Belleville Police Emergency Response Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the city’s east end.  Three people were arrested and charged as a result of the investigation.  The following items were located and seized during the investigation:

  • 82.9 grams of Cocaine
  • 33.7 grams of Fentanyl
  • 3 grams of MDMA
  • 4 sets of working Digital Scales
  • .40 caliber Glock handgun with laser sight.  Serial #BRZC805
  • $6855 Cash

 

 The following persons were charged as a result of the investigation:

 

Jacob PRECOOR, 21 years old of Oshawa was charged with the following offences:

  1. Unauthorized Possession of a firearm – Sec. 91(1) CC
  2. Unauthorized Possession of a prohibited device – Sec. 91(2) CC
  3. Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a firearm – Sec 92(1) CC
  4. Possession of a Loaded Restricted Firearm – Sec. 95(a) CC
  5. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine - Sec 5(2) CDSA
  6. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – MDMA – Sec 5(2) CDSA
  7. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl – Sec 5(2) CDSA
  8. Proceeds of crime over $5000 - Sec. 354(1)(b) CC

Precoor was held for a bail hearing.

 

Marwan BADRA 19 yrs of Oshawa was charged with the following offences:

  1. Unauthorized Possession of a firearm – Sec. 91(1) CC
  2. Unauthorized Possession of a prohibited device – Sec. 91(2) CC
  3. Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a firearm – Sec 92(1) CC
  4. Possession of a Loaded Restricted Firearm – Sec. 95(a) CC
