Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 76 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on December 14, 2023 to 5:00 am on December 15, 2023.

Cops, Crossing Guards and Christmas program

With help from the Starbucks location at 295 North Front St., Belleville Police revived its popular Cops, Crossing Guards and Christmas program this week. Over the course of five days, officers have been delivering a surprise to each of the city’s crossing guards – a Starbucks cookie and hot chocolate – as a thank-you for keeping children in the community safe. Staff at the Starbucks location on North Front provided the snacks and beverages for the program. Attached is picture of guard Betty Newell with Const. Woodcock.

 

 

Mischief to Veteran’s Memorial Bridge – Police Seeking Witnesses

On the 14th of December at 1:15pm, police received information that there were people causing damage to the display at the Veteran’s Memorial Bridge.  Two suspects were observed to be holding Bristol board signs which said something similar to “brace for the future”. 

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects who caused the damage.   Any witnesses or anyone with video of the suspects is asked to contact Constable Sarley at jsarley@bellevilleps.ca or 613-966-0882 x 4190. 

 

 

Motor Vehicle Collison

On the 14th of December at 5:10pm, Belleville Police attended a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Millennium Parkway and Mineral Road. Emergency services originally attended regarding a report of injuries; however, no one was injured. A vehicle had rear ended another vehicle in the intersection causing it to hit the third vehicle. A 20-year-old male driver was charged with failing to yield to through traffic.
