Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 59 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on November 2, 2023 to 5:00 am on November 3, 2023.

 

Canadian Army Exercises in Belleville on Saturday November 4th

The Belleville Police Service in partnership with the Canadian Armed Forces would like to remind Quinte residents of the Canadian Army exercises taking place in Belleville, Peterborough and Cobourg on Saturday November 4th

Soldiers will be marching along local roads in uniform with their personal weapons which will remain unloaded at all times.  The soldiers will be wearing Canadian Army issued uniforms and personal protective equipment. 

Members of the public can expect to see upwards of 30 soldiers at a time marching along the roads in various formations. 

Members of the public are requested to slow down when passing these marching soldiers.

Arrested on Warrant

On the 2nd of November 2023 at 10:30pm, the Belleville Police Service were notified by a neighbouring police agency that they had arrested Daryl Verner, 41-years-old of Barrie on an outstanding warrant from the Belleville Police Service for failing to comply with a Probation Order. Verner was returned to the Belleville Police Service and he was held for a bail hearing.
