Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 82 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on November 21, 2023 to 5:00 am on November 22, 2023.

 

Theft

On the 21st of November at 11:34am, the Belleville Police Service received a call regarding a female shoplifter who had just departed a business on North Front Street.  Staff members kept observation of the female until police arrived.  Upon arrival, police arrested the female for theft.   Further investigation revealed that the female was in possession of several stolen items from nearby stores.  All of the stolen items were returned to the appropriate businesses.  Store owners did not wish to proceed with charges.  The 61-year-old female of Belleville was issued Trespass Notices. 

 

Intoxicated Female

On the 21st of November at 8:36pm, police were called to Highway 37 near the 401 for a female walking into traffic and falling on the ground. Police attended the area and located the female.  Upon speaking to the female, police determined that the female was heavily intoxicated from the consumption of alcohol.   Police had concerns for the female’s health and well-being and requested the female be transported by Ambulance to the Belleville General Hospital for treatment.  The 22-year-old female from Kingston was left in the care of the hospital and family were notified.
